Huna Totem was recently awarded a 10-year contract with the National
Park Service to operate the lodge and concessions at Glacier
Bay National Park near Juneau starting the summer of 2004.
The operation offers an avenue to tie Huna Totem shareholders
back to their ancestral lands in Glacier Bay. The forefathers
of present-day Alaska Native shareholders spent many long
summer months calling the area their home and preparing for
the cold winter months ahead through hunting and gathering.
Huna Totem’s joint venture partner in Glacier Bay operation
is ARAMARK, a seasoned concessions operator in similar operations
across the nation and in Alaska.
