The Huna Totem Corporation Board of Directors has scheduled an information meeting on May 18, 2013 starting at 11:00 AM at the ANB Hall in Hoonah, AK.
A new format, consisting of an information fair at the Hall, where HTC staff, Board Members, and community and business parters will be available to answer shareholder questions, a FAM tour (familiarity tour) at Icy Strait Point, and lunch during the 2012 Operational and Financial presentation will be on the agenda this year!
Huna Totem Corporation is hosting a single information meeting in Hoonah. As such, free transportation via catamaran from Juneau to Hoonah will be provided to shareholders living outside of Hoonah. Limited seating is available and early registration is required!

To commemorate this milestone we are seeking to commission from a Huna Totem Corporation shareholder or descendant an original design which embodies, Haa léek’u has yáagu yikt haa shukáadei yaan tukóox— In our grandfather’s canoe, we are traveling into the future, the theme of our year-long 40th Anniversary celebration. The design piece is to be publically unveiled to shareholders during one of the Corporation’s Anniversary celebrations planned for 2013, after which it will be placed on permanent display at the Corporation’s Juneau headquarters, Xúna Kaawu Hit.
The design/piece may be traditional or contemporary and is expected to create visual interest, honor the sacrifices, efforts and leadership of those responsible for the founding and 40 years of success of Huna Totem Corporation. The piece will also acknowledge the bright future ahead for the Corporation, its current shareholders, and the generations to come.

Tune in Hoonah! - The Trustees of the Huna Totem Corporation Shareholders Settlement Trust have declared a Final Distribution of $7.11 per unit to all unit holders of record on February 9, 2013, payable through direct deposit and mailing on February 15, 2013.
Together with the First distribution of $1.68 paid in August and the Second distribution of $3.10 paid in November, the total paid from 2012 Trust earnings to $11.89 per unit, which is a 64% increase over the $7.25 per unit paid from the earnings last year.
The December 2012 Huna Totem Corporation dividend was taxable. As such, Huna Totem Corporation sent out 1099s for 2012, postmarked on January 31, 2013, to shareholders. The 2012 Shareholder Settlement Trust distributions were non-taxable.

- The Huna Totem Board of Directors, in accordance with the Corporation’s current dividend policy, declared a total 2012 dividend distribution amount of $65,174 to shareholders of record as of December 15, 2012.
This year’s dividend of $0.74 per share in combination with three Shareholder Settlement Trust distributions of $10.96 made earlier this year brings a total of $11.70 in total cash distributions per Huna Totem Corporation share, compared to $4.55 in 2011; an increase of $7.15 or 157%.
Huna Totem Corporation’s current dividend policy adopted in 2011, calls for the Corporation to pay annual dividends equal to twenty-five percent of the Corporation's average annual net income for the past three years. This policy was adopted in 2011 with the Corporation’s return to consecutive years of profitability after a decade of dividends to shareholders which exceeded the Corporation’s profitability and reduced the Corporation’s ability to fund growth.
This current dividend policy is intended to ensure the Corporation’s sustainability by paying for current business operations and debt service, allowing for future growth and investment opportunities, while also paying out dividends to shareholders when the Corporation is profitable.
Checks will be mailed and direct deposit accounts credited on Thursday, December 20, 2012. Shareholders not currently signed up for direct deposit may find the form on Huna Totem Corporation’s website www.hunatotem.com or contact Amber Starbard, Shareholder Relations Manager at the Huna Totem Corporation office to enroll before the next distribution. - Xuna K'aawu had their nineteenth radio broadcast Thursday, November 29th, 2012!
