  • Huna Totem Corporation and the Shareholder's Settlement Trust will not be issuing 1099s for 2011. All dividends and distributions for 2011 were non-taxable.

  • Martin Luther King Day- Holiday Observance
    The Huna Totem Corporate Office will be closed Monday, January 16th, 2012 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.  The office will re-open for business on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012. 

  • The Huna Totem Corporate Office Holiday Closure
    The Huna Totem Corporate Office will be closed Friday, December 23rd, 2011 and re-open Tuesday, December 27th, 2011 in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  The office will also be closed Monday, January 2nd, 2012 in observance of New Year's Day.  We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  • The Board of Directors met and declared a dividend of $2.45/share with a mailing and direct deposit date of Wednesday, December 21, 2011.  The declared amount represents 25% of the average net income for Huna Totem Corporation over the past three years.

    We are pleased to announce this dividend amount is $0.95/share more than the $1.50 dividend distributed December of last year.  Happy Holidays!

  • November 2, 2011- Huna Totem Corporation Shareholders Settlement Trust Board of Trustees announced today that under the terms of the Trust, a second distribution could not be made at this time. 

    Under terms of the Trust, 60% of net income is to be distributed to beneficiaries in three installments; on or before August 15th, November 15th, and February 15th.  Under this formula, $1.07 / unit, $93,732 in total was distributed on August 12. 

    Trust earnings for the first nine months of 2011 are positive; however following a strong 1st half with the S&P 500 up 5%, the Trust suffered a significant decline during the third quarter when the S&P 500 declined over 14%.  Under the formula provided in the Trust, $0.77 / unit is distributable in total for the first and second distributions.  With more than this total distributed in August, no second distribution may be made at this time. 

  • Conference Of Young Alaskans
    Applications are now available for the opportunity of a lifetime: a seat at the 2012 Conference of Young Alaskans. The three-day event is hosted by the Institute of the North and connects individuals from around the state to discuss Alaska's rich history, vibrant present and thriving future.

    This year's conference is Jan. 4-7 in Juneau's Centennial Hall and open to Alaskans aged 16-25. The 55-member conference is modeled after the original Alaska Constitutional Convention of 1955.

    The deadline for applying to attend the conference is Oct. 16. Applications are available online at http://youngalaskans.org/.

  • Hoonah Absentee Ballot Application If you are a Hoonah resident and expect to be out of town on October 4th, fill out the Absentee Ballot Application and send it in to the Hoonah City Office.  Let your voice be heard!  Go out and vote!

  • Sandra Jack will be available tomorrow, August 30th, 2011, at Icy Strait Point to assist with voter registration!  Huna Totem Corporation encourages the community and youth to get involved! Let your voice be heard, register and vote!
     
  • The Board of Trustees met and declared an August distribution from the Shareholders Settlement Trust in the amount of $1.07/unit for Shareholders as of record date August 8, 2011 with an anticipated mailing and direct deposit date of August 12, 2011.

  • Huna Totem Corporation's Intern Day
    Interns from Huna Totem Corporation, Sealaska Corporation, and Goldbelt Incorporated were present for Huna Totem's first annual Intern Day at Icy Strait Point.  The event was meant  to encourage and motivate the interns to continue on a successful path.  Larry Gaffaney, HTC President and Chief Executive Officer, Tyler Hickman, ISP Vice President of Operations, and Marlene Johnson, HHF Chairman were available to the interns throughout the day for questions.  Click here to see the group photo

  • Huna Totem Corporation- Final Results 2011
    Russell Dick, Bertha Franulovich, and Paul White, Jr. have been re-elected to the Board of Directors.  Over 72% of Shareholders voted this year.  Thank you to those who attended our Annual Meeting of Shareholders and those who participated in the election.
